Bodegas Valdelana, awarded for the second time as the best winery in Art and Culture, is located in Elciego, the heart of Rioja wine country. Situated in the Rioja Alavesa region, one of the three subzones of the Denomination of Origin Qualified Rioja, it lies between the Ebro River to the south and the Cantabria Mountains, which protect the area from the harsh northern winds. The characteristics of this region make its products as special as the land from which they come.
In addition to its extensive selection of wines and oils, Bodegas Valdelana boasts two underground museums housed in 15th-century wine cellars. Visitors can also enjoy charming rural accommodations where they can rest and fully immerse themselves in the world of wine culture.
The guided tour of the Bodegas Valdelana Museum consists of four sections, all located along an underground route inside the winery’s 15th-century cellars. The tour concludes with a tasting session featuring four wines and one of their premium oils.
They offer a variety of experiences, including:
- Visit to the Ethnological Museum
- Wine Museum tour
- Visit to the 1583 Chapel of the Villa
- Subterranean vineyard: “Tunnel of the Senses”
- Award-winning Stellar Pairing Experience: A Wine Tourism Experience award for Best Wine Tourism Experience.

Additionally, Bodegas Valdelana provides a range of spaces, ensuring a comfortable setting for private or corporate events.
