Opened in 2015 on Zurbano Street, just steps from Paseo de la Castellana, Benares Madrid is the first fine Indian cuisine restaurant in Madrid and the only one featured in the Michelin and Repsol guides for Spain and Portugal.
The dishes at Benares Madrid reflect a deep respect for the culinary traditions of India, the world’s seventh-largest country. Under the leadership of Chef Luis Ojeda, the team has skillfully adapted these flavors to suit local preferences, resulting in a refined, distinctive offering.
This is a particularly significant time for the restaurant, which has successfully upheld its philosophy for nearly a decade: delivering a gastronomic experience that blends the finest Spanish ingredients with Indian techniques.
The evolution of Benares Madrid also includes the launch of the city’s first Indo-Castilian tavern, offering a curated selection of traditional Spanish dishes infused with Indian nuances in a casual format, as well as modernized private spaces and areas for events.
